Finally!

After all these years, Hasbro has finally been able to capture Robert Downey Jr's legendary, childbearing hips in plastic.

Treat him right, boys, and he'll give you a big family.

Art of Scariness: Day 11

And that's when the CHUDs got me...

Art of Scariness: Day 10

TIME CRIMES
Fantastic thriller. Fantastic design on the "villian" costume

Art of Scariness: Day 9

TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE 2
Lefty vs Leatherface

Art of Scariness: Day 8

JAWS
the movie that made me afraid to go in just about any body of water, except the bathtub.

Art of Scariness: Day 7

BURIAL GROUND: Night of Terror

Deliciously bad Italian Zombie movie. Probably most remembered for having a middle-aged dwarf in a huge wig playing the 10 year old boy (who happens to be interested in his mom's bountiful bra-meats)

Art of Scariness: Day 6

Boooooooooyyyyyyyyyy!

The Tall Man and his shiny balls from Phantasm

Art of Scariness: Day 5

THE ASTRO-ZOMBIES!!!

Art of Scariness: Day 4

Day 4
DAWN OF THE DEAD
"We got this, man! We got this by the ass!"

An all-time classic and one of my top 10 horror movies.

Art of Scariness: Day 3

Day 3
PSYCHOMANIA

Caught this for the first time this weekend on TCM. Fun stuff. Late 60s biker movie set in the UK. Via Satanic ritual, bikers kill themselves and come back as fairly mild, immortal killing machines. PG stuff, but cool music, killer costumes and a kick-ass motorcycle blasting out of a grave make this a must see.

Flea Market Finds 10/3/2010

Had a good morning at the monthly collector's show. Found some treasures and some bargains.

Art of Scariness: Day 1

Day 1
DAY OF THE DEAD

The third entry in Romero's Dead series is a personal favorite of mine. Savini's zombies look amazing. The gore. Bub the Zombie. And my favorite Romero character, the awesomely lovable bastard, Captain Rhodes.

OPERATION: Rebirthinglyness

Wow. It's been nearly a year. Hard to believe. Well, fear not, Doc Geektarded is back. I've been working to launch a bigger and better blog and Oct 1 seems as good a time as any.
Halloween is upon us and to get in the mood, I'm launching Geektarded's Art of Scariness. Each day I will watch a scary movie and post a pin-up based on the film. So, awaaaay we go!
